Kahu “Kaleo” has been working in the healing arts most of his life. As a martial arts practitioner he worked & studied extensively with Grand Master Dr. Andy Sanano for over 15 years. Under the watchful guidance of Dr. Sanano, Kahu Kaleo earned a 3rd degree Black Belt & worked diligently to incorporate the "Healing" & Body, Mind Spirit aspect of martial arts. In 1990 Kahu Kaleo was trained & certified in NLP "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" & in 1992 he was certified in Clinical & Medical Hypnotherapy. In the years that followed, Kahu honed all of these skills together working in a Pain Clinic in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Using the healing movements & breath work of Tai Chi & Qigong to Guided Imagery through Hypnotherapy with great success. The V.A. Hospital in Ft. Meade, South Dakota invited Kahu into their Pain Clinic to "experiment" with the efficacy of his work. After setting up a successful model for the V.A. Hospital, he turned the program over to another Tai Chi practitioner to move into the field of prevention & intervention in addiction. Again using a combination of all of these skills in order to gain positive results for clients & patients dealing with addictions. After working as a Prevention Specialist in local middle schools, Kahu Kaleo decided to take a break & move to O’ahu Hawai’i. It was there in 2007 that he met & started to study the ancient healing art of Lomilomi & Ho'oponopono (to set right) with Kumu Karen Leialoha Carroll of the Kapuaokalani School of Soulistic Healing. Kumu Karen "adopted" Kaleo into her Halau (group) & gifted him with a Hawaiian name, Kaleopu’uwai, meaning " Music of the Heart" or "Voice of the Heart". After Studying the ancient Hawaiian healing art of Lomilomi for four years Kumu Karen was prompted by spirit to ordain Kaleo as a Kahu/Minister in 2011. Kahu Kaleo studied & continues to study today in the art of Lomilomi & uses "Hawaiian" values as taught by Kumu Karen in his Spiritual Life Coaching program "Kahu Soulutions". Kahu Kaleo works with a wide variety of clients from Business Managers & Executives to young students. He has coached couples & families to teams of employees. Kahu Kaleo focuses the work that he does on "Universal Love" & the healing energy that he believes it produces once clients come to a place of "remembrance" of who they really are in Spirit! Kahu Kaleo is a also a professional musician specializing in slide, Blues and Alternative Tuning styles. He is currently working on a Solo project as well as a CD with his 5 piece group. Kahu has incorporated a lot of music in his healing work where appropriate.

One early morning in July of 2008, I found myself standing on Oahu's west shore watching a man approach the ocean with slow and focused intent. I felt the need to watch him.  As his toes left the sand and entered the surf, he rose his arms high above his head and began to chant in Hawaiian. Kaleo came into my life several years ago when I was in the darkest space of my life not only was I fighting both personal and physical demons but my day to day struggle to fight off the darkness was so great I made a thankfully unsuccessful attempt on my life. I went thru several "typical" therapists and always felt like nothing was accomplished and there was no forward movement. My mentor in Hawaii suggested I contacted Kahu Kaleo . I saw a definite diffrence in the ideology and practices. I left each session with actual tools I could use right away! My spiritual side was also fed and it gave me a different perspective of what I was battling. He also wasn't someone I went to for a hour then paid and that was the disconnect. He actually cared and went out of his way to make sure I was steady on my path and he was always just a call away . I truly due credit Kahu Kaleo with me still being on this earth. Bob Fahey, or Kaleopu'uwai, as I call him by his Hawaiian name, has been a great source of strength and wisdom to me since the time we met in 2008 on Oahu.

Many years have passed since our Lomilomi class studying under Kumu Karen Carroll, yet the friendship I maintain with Kaleo has remained in vertical time.  Kaleo expresses a universal understanding of people, places and events that transcends all man-made boundaries, including time.

He is a loving and forgiving individual who is steady in his dedication to bring goodness to all situations.  He has a great sense of humor, but when needed, can also be a fierce warrior in the face of human brutality.

Kaleo is one of the healing souls on this planet.  He is sincere in his work and a benefit to all.
